BestMARC™ Beta Now Available
BestMARC is a web-based library services platform designated to provide easy, centralized access to all of Mitinet’s highly regarded library services.
A new significant tool, the BestMARC online MARC cataloging tool, featuring integrated Subject and Classification databases, are free to all users.
BestMARC is currently available as a “Beta Service Platform,” which, for users, means that the platform is functional yet is still under development
as familiar Mitinet’s subscription services, new services and features including data management tools are implemented into BestMARC.
BestMARC is available in two modes of service – BestMARC and BestMARC Pro.
- BestMARC Pro includes full access to Mitinet’s proprietary MARC records database featuring the largest collection of eBooks as well as an integrated Z-Search engine optimized to return only the best available MARC records. BestMARC Pro users will have full access to search and retrieve materials based on reading programs, grade levels and Lexile levels.
- BestMARC is free to all users allowing users to catalog MARC records quickly and accurately. Non-pro user can also search for MARC records but may not download them. Reading program searches are allowed but limited. For instance, only Pro users are allowed to access Lexile and Fountas & Pinell materials.
