BestMARC has now been updated to include the recently-released Update 27 of the MARC Bibliographic spec from the Library of Congress.

The biggest additions focus on adding fields for Accessibility.

• New 251 field – Version Information (for tracking the version of a resource)
• New 341 field – Accessibility Content (for information about assistive features such as captions, sign language, braille)
• New 532 field – Accessibility Note (for notes on technical details, features, and deficiencies of accessibility features – expanding on what’s in 341)
• New subfield additions to 041 to add more accessible language options for things like language of the captions, language of the accessible audio, etc.

The new fields and subfields are now reflected in the BestMARC editor.
