AnalyzeMARC™ Report

Our free AnaylzeMARC database diagnostic report helps you uncover flaws and other issues that may have been overlooked in the past with your library data. With this diagnostic tool, we assist you with exporting and uploading your current database through our BestMARC website. We run your records through our diagnostic software and report the state of your data, including:

• Your collections
• Call number prefix consistency
• Cataloging standards (RDA or AACR2)
• Technical and syntax errors
• Brief and duplicate records
• Enhancements that could be performed automatically:
  • Award note updates
  • Subject heading updates
  • Reading program updates

When the diagnostic is complete, we will send you your report and schedule a time to consult with you so we can answer your questions and make recommendations to meet your needs.
